Whether you are a Year 12 student, a non-school leaver wanting to start your university studies, or you want to further your university studies, we offer a range of pathways to gain admission into Flinders.
If you didn’t go to uni straight after high school there are a number of pathways available for you to start your study at Flinders.
Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) – a 2-hour multiple choice test with no areas of assumed knowledge. You can choose your STAT sitting day and time when you submit your SATAC application, or you can register to sit outside application periods. Depending on the course you apply for you may be eligible to submit a personal competencies statement.
Flinders Foundation Studies Program – a no-cost course which will give you the foundation to be a successful university student and upon successful completion gives you guaranteed entry to some of our courses, as well as a competitive entry rank to the majority of our other courses.
TAFE/VET to uni – Your TAFE Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma gives you guaranteed entry into many of our courses through TAFELink. You can also apply using a Certificate III qualification.
Higher education transfer – If you’re studying at another university and want to transfer to Flinders you may be eligible to apply.
Year 12 qualifications – Regardless of when you finished Year 12, you can still use your results as a basis for your application to Flinders.
Indigenous Admissions Scheme – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are eligible to apply for Flinders via the Indigenous Admissions Scheme.
If you do not meet the initial entry requirements to the course of your choice you can start studying one course and apply to move to another via internal transfer or Flinderslink. There are a number of pathways to your preferred degree.
If you want to further your career or wish to pursue a different career, we have a range of postgraduate courses to help you realise your full potential.
If you have an overseas qualification you may be eligible to apply for a postgraduate coursework degree at Flinders. Please note, international students can contact our International Centre for further advice.
