Going to university from high school can be challenging for many students and your child may look to you for help during this transition. View the information below to find out about courses, costs, how to get into uni and services available on campus.
If you have further questions about this, careers, or other aspects of studying at Flinders you can make a one-on-one appointment with us to discuss, or attend one of our information sessions. Contact us to find out more.
Most high school students enter university via the traditional, competitive entry method, where offers are made to eligible applicants with the highest Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) until all places in the course are filled. Your child might also be eligible for guaranteed entry and bonus points.
However, an ATAR score isn’t the only way of getting into Flinders. We outline all the pathways and preparatory programs available below.
The Indigenous Admissions Scheme provides an alternative pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, who may not have been able to gain entry to university by traditional means, with the opportunity to study at Flinders.
Applications are made via the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).

There’s plenty to experience at Flinders besides studying for a degree. These include learning, personal and financial support services in case your child needs them. We also have some great places to eat and socialise, and there are many social, sport and fitness activities.
At Flinders we want to make the transition to university as easy as possible. We have a range of activities and support services to help students settle into to uni and make their time here a great and memorable experience.
